WALKING IN WORMSLOE

Years from now when the Army sends us into the next chapter, my memories of this southern city will be anchored to the beauty of the oaks draped in Spanish Moss in the warm summer air.

This is how I always envisioned Georgia to be– so my breath was taken away when I found this place.

It’s $10 to make the drive to the end which ultimately allows access to the remainder of the plantation. If you’re a history buff, this place is rooted in it and you may find interest in the ruins from the 1700s .

I’ll be honest though, that’s not why I visit Wormsloe. I go for the real stunner…the mile-long live-oak-arched-road at the beginning of the park.

If this is your first time in the area or you’ve gotten tired of hitting the same bars on River Street…even if you only spend ten minutes here…GO!!! I’m telling you, it’s like a moment in an oil painting.
